Our CliniciansMary Bristow Wooten, DPT, MHS, OCS
Dr. Wooten received her Physical Therapy degree in 1986 from The University of Oklahoma. She received a Master of Health Science degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from The University of Indianapolis in 1998. In 1999, Dr. Wooten became a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from The Arizona School of Health Sciences, AT Still University in 2005. Research for Dr. Wooten’s doctoral project “Bilateral Ankle Sprains in an Elite Male Gymnast: A Cast Report” has been submitted for publication in The Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy. Dr. Wooten is a member of the Orthopedic Specialty Section of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Virginia Physical Therapy Association, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Dr. Wooten and her family recently returned to Virginia and plan to make Stafford County their permanent home. She has volunteered in many capacities in her communities in the past, including schools, church and as a physical therapist for the American Red Cross. She looks forward to doing so in our area as well. |
